Process Prioritizer
Flexible free tool that gives you control over the processes running on your PC.
Process Prioritizer (or Prioritiser, as stated in the program’s window title) is a free software application that allows you to set a specific level of priority to each of the processes running in your system at a given time.
Its tabbed interface is simple enough to allow any user to benefit from this useful tool; however, you will need to have some prior knowledge about the subject to make the most of it (no help files are available). The “Current Processes” tab gives a refreshable list of the processes currently running on your PC, as well as their default priority. You can then use the “Real-time”, “Idle”, “Normal”, and “High” tabs to set a new priority level of each of them. Finally, the “Operation” tab you can select the operating mode for your processes, either through a system process scan or a Shell hook.
Instead of just allowing Windows to let your running applications to decide for themselves the use they make of your system’s resources, Process Prioritizer offers you in a compact tool all the functionality you need to enable, disable, stop, and launch specific processes and programs.
Pros
- Simple tabbed interface
- Offers you valuable information about how processes behave in your system
Cons
